- je harmonická a tvorivá osobnosť s občianskou a spoločenskou zodpovednosťou,
- je odborník v oblasti elektrotechniky so zameraním sa na aplikovanú elektrotechniku, meracie a diagnostické systémy a procesmi spojenými s projektovaním, konštrukciou, overovaním a prevádzkou v oblasti poznania, a tiež profesii v jej širšom spoločenskom kontexte
- je schopný tvorivo hľadať a nachádzať riešenia v odborných problémoch súvisiacich analýzou, projektovaním, konštruovaním a údržbou elektrotechnických zariadení a meracích systémov pre všetky oblasti priemyslu,
- je odborník elektrotechnike ako disciplíne a oblasti poznania, ako aj profesii v jej širšom spoločenskom podtexte,
- má hlboké znalosti v oblasti aplikovanej elektrotechniky, meracej techniky a diagnostiky, umožňujúce mu riadiť tímy pracovníkov v tejto oblasti, samostatne viesť aj veľké projekty a prevziať zodpovednosť za komplexné riešenia,
- ovláda moderné informačno-komunikačné technológie a vie ich primerane využívať vo svojej praxi,
- dokáže nachádzať a prezentovať vlastné riešenia problémov pri výskume, vývoji, projektovaní a konštruovaní elektrotechnických zariadení aj v širšom kontexte riadiacich, meracích a diagnostických systémov ako aj materiálovo-technologického výskumu; kriticky prehodnocovať znalosti o technických, softvérových a obchodných procesoch a postupoch na napomáhanie v zlepšovaní výkonnosti organizácie a dosahovaní jej cieľov, pracovať efektívne ako jednotlivec, ako člen a ako vedúci tímu; analyzovať a aplikovať celú paletu konceptov, princípov a praktík vývoja modernej elektrotechniky v kontexte voľne definovaných problémov, pričom bude preukazovať efektívne rozhodovanie v súvislosti s výberom a použitím metód, techník a prostriedkov,
- má manažérske, ekonomické, spoločenské, morálne a právne povedomie a dokáže používať vhodné praktiky v súlade s profesionálnym, etickým a právnym rámcom platným v oblasti elektrotechniky a meracej techniky,
- je pripravený na štúdium študijného programu tretieho stupňa a budovanie vedeckej perspektívy v celej škále aplikácií elektrotechniky a meracej techniky, v ktorých uplatňuje pokročilé metódy a techniky pri návrhu a vývoji elektrotechnických zariadení alebo na bezprostredný vstup na trh práce,
- nachádza uplatnenie ako člen tvorivého tímu alebo jeho vedúci v rôznych odvetviach priemyslu, vo vzdelávacej sústave, vo výskume, ako vo verejnom tak aj v súkromnom sektore, doprave, zdravotníctve a pod. a všade tam, kde sú možnosti vývoja, nasadzovania a prevádzky elektrotechnických zariadení i meracích a diagnostických systémov.

Frequency filters, purpose of use, classification and basic description of properties. Selective filters, correction filters and phase delay circuits. Passive and active filters. Relation of the modulation and phase characteristics to the time response (impulse and transient characteristics).
