“I work as the head of the electroprojection department in AT-Industry spol. s r.o., which has been dealing with technical solutions for storage, transport and batching of bulk materials for more than 30 years. I spent 8 years at the Institute of Electrical Engineering of FEI STU. It was 8 wonderful student years, during which I gained a general overview in the field of electrical engineering and measuring technology. During the studies a student often does not realize what some subjects will actually be for in his life and how he will be able to use them, but only time will show in what sphere the student will apply himself and which talents he will develop. And that is the incredible advantage of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, the general outlook that I have acquired, I have been able to fully develop in my work. During my studies, I would never have imagined that I would find a job in the sphere of industrial automation. I was rather oriented towards high-frequency engineering and measurement technology. Another benefit I would like to highlight is the individual approach of the institute’s teachers. They were always willing to explain, supplement or create space for discussion regarding questions and discrepancies in the curriculum. Nowadays, as a head of a department, when I choose my colleagues, I consider it important that a prospective candidate has an outlook and is interested in developing his/her knowledge. The staff of the Department of Electrical Engineering are experts in the fields of electrical and electronic circuits, measurement technology, programming of single chip applications, electromagnetic fields, radio frequency technology and magnetic materials. This wide range of electrical engineering skills enables them to cover the design of most household and industrial electronic devices. And it allows this skill to be taught to our students as well.
